Once back on your feet it's time to consider prevention. That means getting off the couch and doing some exercise. (I heard that groan.) Since stretching and strengthening exercises may help prevent future back problems.

Of course one of the best antidotes for low back pain is strong abdominal muscles. Not what you might consider a low back excercise, but it is.
